Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2

In these lesson plans, children will learn how to draw a tree with branches and how leaves extend from the base of a plant upwards. Elements of colour, shapes, composition and balance will be investigated in the process of creating these colourful artworks.

Grade 3 and 4

Celebrate Spring and Autumn or Fall! This gorgeous Autumn leaf artwork is one of our favourite lesson plans, the kids loved creating this mixed media artwork as there was a new technique to apply in each lesson. Create patterned leaves and print a leafy background to celebrate the seasons. 

We’ll create a gorgeous Spring Rabbit using oil pastel and edicol dye. Draw and paint to create this fun rabbit artwork featuring one long eared rabbit. Students will learn about colour and contrast and how to use these elements to create shading and form within their artwork.

Grade 5 and 6

Create an explosion book to display a series of 5 prints from this fun and experimental class.
